WHAT DO NARJ VOLUNTEERS DO?

 

Norwalk Actions for Reproductive Rights is a welcoming social group and action collective that engages in volunteer activism throughout the year to ensure Reproductive Rights are protected both locally and nationally.

 

Thankfully, we live in Connecticut, where our state laws offer some protection from immediate threats to our bodily autonomy. However, If a national abortion ban is enshrined into law, it will supersede our rights in Connecticut. Therefore, we must mobilize to demand our right to reproductive healthcare and safe, legal abortions for all who seek them.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE ACTIONS WE ARE TAKING:

• Organize fundraising events for various reproductive health organizations throughout the year. 

• Rally to express our discontent

• Be an accurate source of information to those in need through continuous learning about local agencies, nonprofits, and other essential healthcare support services.

• Help set up or take down tables/tents before and after events

• Gather to socialize, build a strong community, and share ideas with one another

• Participate in public art 

• Educate ourselves on the issues so we can be a voice for those in need

• Assist candidates in support of Reproductive Rights with their campaigns via Door Knocking, Phone Banking, Building & Distributing Lawn Signs, Letter Writing

Basically, we need everyone and every skill set. There is a space here for you.  We're better together.
